Key findings

1

11 of the 19 municipalities are in Andalusia. Jaén accounts for 4 of the top 5.

2

Asturias is the second region with the most municipalities in negative territory (3), all from the former mining sector.

3

Salt (Girona) is the only Catalan municipality with a decrease — though it remains expensive at €698/month.

Methodology note

Data comes from INE's IPVA index (2023). The variation is the percentage change of the index between 2022 and 2023. A fall in the index does not necessarily mean listed rents fell — it measures contracts actually signed. 2023 data is the most recent published by INE. The IPVA index is published with approximately 18 months' lag from the reference year.
